Three powerful explosions hit Mumbai

Home Minister said,"Three bomb blasts have taken place in Mumbai and 54 persons are injured and eighteen death toll could also rise.Blast occurred at about 6.45 PM and it is coordinated attack on Mumbai and fire brigade and police is at scene,NSG is at stand by in Mumbai,I have spoken to CM of Maharashtra and is taking stock of the situation. SIT team is rushed to Mumbai from the capital.I call to people of Mumbai and country to maintain calm."

Police authorities have confirmed the serial blast in Mumbai is terrorist attack and the details of terror outfit is still not clear. Three explosions hit Mumbai Three explosions have hit Mumbai on Wednesday evening at 6.50 PM. The first blast occurred in the ‘Opera House’ area of Mumbai. Second blast occurred at a bus stop near Dadar West railway station. The third blast occurred in the busy business area of Zaveri Bazaar. Nine person killed at Zaveri Bazar and bomb was kept in umbrella and another bomb kept in car at opera house.

In 1993 bomb blasted at Zaveri Bazar,today this bazaar was the first target,where the bomb blasted around 6.45 PM.- of high intensity. An unidentified bag is found in
Santa Cruz Mall and its investigations are on. Mumbai Police and the fire brigade have rushed to the site of explosions. Security has been beefed up across Mumbai.

Inital unofficial reports put Twenty five persons have been killed and more than hundred person injured as per the reports available from the electronic channels and further confirmed reports of casualty is awaited.Dadar blast is of high intensity. Dogs-squad,Fire brigade,Police authorities has reached at Zaveri Bazaar.Reports of DD-News channels,Indian Mujaheddin appears to be behind these serial blast.Home Minister said,Media will be briefed very two hours.

Maharashtra’s Public Works Department Minister, Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal has said that looking at the intensity of the explosions; it seems to be a bomb blast. He has appealed to the people not to panic and stay calm.Police sources said the nature and intensity of the blasts was not known.Home Minister addressed the media and said he has talked to the State home ministers and there is no sign of any other blasts and Mumbai is put on high alert.
