Nirupama Rao to inaugurate Women's Science Congress today
Indian Ambassador to the United States, Nirupama Rao, will inaugurate the Women's Science Congress today at the 99th Indian Science Congress being organised in Bhubaneswar.



This year the theme of Women's Science Congress is 'Women in Science and Science for Women'. Thousands of women scientists have congregated in Odisha's capital to participate in the Congress.Chief Minister of Delhi, Sheila Dikshit, Union Minister of State for


Human Resources Development, Dr D Purandeswari, Odisha's Minister of Textiles and Handloom and Science and Technology, Usha Devi, Assistant Director General for Natural Sciences, UNESCO, Dr Gretchen Kalonji and General President of 99th Indian Science Congress, Prof Geetha Bali are also likely to attend the inaugural function of the Women's Science Congress.
