ECB key rate unchanged at 1.0 pct

European Central Bank (ECB) on Thursday decided to keep the refinancing operations and interest rates on the marginal leading facility and the deposit facility unchanged.Voting at a regular monthly meeting, the policy setting governing council decided to keep its main refinancing operations unchanged at 1.0 percent.
The ECB's decision was widely expected before the governing council meeting here as it recently injected over half a trillion euros into 800 banks in a second three-year longer-term refinancing operation (LTRO).
