UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi speaks at the inaugural function of the silver jubilee celebrations of the seven Zonal Cultural Centres of India. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi inaugurated celebrations with the ceremonial beating of drums here on Friday. Sonia Gandhi recalled that the first Zonal Cultural Centre was conceived and established by late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at Patiala in November 1985. A choreographed amalgamation of different cultural streams of India titled “Mati ke rang” was presented. "
