Jolly takes Holy Bath in Mahakumbh
“Unique Divine Power” experienced by BJP leader Vijay Jolly while spending the night alone on the personal bed of VHP Patron Ashok Singhal at Prayag

New Delhi, 15th March 2013: BJP Delhi Spokesperson & Vice President Mr. Vijay Jolly took a holy bath on the eve of Mahashivratri at Triveni Sangam in Allahabad during the Mahakumbha Hindu festival. Prominent NRI’s from Fiji Islands Mr. Rajendra Prasad & Mr. Uday Sahai from New Zealand also took holy bath with Mr. Jolly.

BJP leader Vijay Jolly spent the night in the personal bedroom of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Patron Shri. Ashok Singhal. Mr. Jolly experienced unique divine power of peace & blissful joy creeping into his body & soul during the night. The experience is un-explainable stated Mr. Jolly in a press statement today.
Mahakumbh is a mass Hindu pilgrimage of faith in which Hindus gather to bathe in the sacred river. It is the worlds largest religious gathering of more that 80 million pilgrims. This Mahakumbh at Prayag was held after 144 years. The Shahi Snan (Royal bath) at the Sangam was marked on 10th Feb 2013 with the participation of lakhs of saffron sadhu, sansyasis & naga babas. This mahakumbh festival culminated on 10th March 2013.
BJP leader Mr. Jolly stated that Kumbh festival is held every 12 years. The ancient believe is that a holy bath at the Sangam on the occasion of makersankranti and purnima ensures a smooth passage to heaven after death.
BJP Spokesperson Mr. Jolly stated that Kumbh fair is held at four places every twelfth year at Allahabad (Sangam), Haridwar (Ganga), Ujjain (Shipra) & at Nasik (Godawari) rivers. The first account of the Kumbh fair can be found during the rule of King Harshvardhana in 629-649 CE. The famous Chinese monk Xuanzang who visited India at that time is a part of Indian history. According to medieval Hindu theology, the origin of Kumbh can be found in the most popular medieval Bhagavat Puran. It is widely believed that 7 thousand bows & arrows protect Maa Ganga River.
