on ‘Theatre and India Today’ by Ms. Sanjna Kapoor, Junoon Theatre, New Delhi.
The speaker will talk about her deep concern with the rapid urbanisation of India, the complete lack of planning for arts spaces in these new megalopolis or even smaller towns and the dire need to nurture arts engagements. The lecture will focus on how this nurturing will impact theatre practice across the country.
Ms. Sanjna Kapoor, co-founder of Junoon, is well-known for her passionate work with theatre over two decades, and for having built Prithvi Theatre into one of India’s premier cultural hubs.
