GAIL India among the Top Indian Companies on CSR Posted:  28 Nov 2014 01:56 AM PST GAIL (India) Limited has been ranked 11 th  amongst India’s Best Companies for CSR 2014 as per the recently published study by ET together with Futurescape and IIM Udaipur  The study looked at top 115 Indian companies to arrive at the ranking. It covered industries as varied as automobiles, banks, diversified, FMCG, infrastructure, information technology, metals and mining, oil, power, steel, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and others. The Companies are being ranked based on their focus on CSR and Sustainability by creating a combined score that weighs each of the 4 parameters  Governance, Disclosure, CSR Stakeholders and Sustainability.  The scores are arrived at by evaluating each companies Sustainability/ Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) report by analysts who scored based on a number of dimensions under the four parameters
