Macron, Merkel common agenda ON  APRIL 20, 2018  BY  NARESH SAGAR LEAVE A COMMENT EDIT France and Germany said to deliver the same messages on trade and Iran’s nuclear deal when they meet US President Donald Trump next week. French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel held a news conference after their meeting in Berlin on Thursday. Macron expressed concern about heavy tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on imports of steel and aluminum. He said France and Germany respect multilateral frameworks and rules of the World Trade Organization. Trump is critical of Iran’s missile program and may pull the US out of the international agreement on Iran’s nuclear program. Macron and Merkel voiced concern about Iran’s missile development. But they said they will urge Trump not to withdraw from the nuclear accord.
